The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. On Monday, 11th inst., we field our regular stock sale, at Cambridge, an.l yarded about 500 head of cattle and 2.">i) sheep. The competition for cattle was well maintained throughout, and almost everything was cleared under the hammer. Beef was not perhaps so brisk as at some recent sales, although ■vendors seemed satisfied. Xo heavyweight bullocks were yarded. .Medium weights made to £lB 10s; lighter sorts £l6 15s to £l7 2s 6d; fat cows and heifers reached £l4 17s 6d, lighter weights, £ll 17s Cd to £l3. Freshconditioned cows drew good competition, selling up to £ll for best; medium £8 to £9 7s Gd; small, from £5 as. No steers older than two years were penned, and these sold up to £7. Twoyear empty heifers advanced in value, end sold up to £9 for the pick; second quality, £7 to £7 15s; yearlings, £i 5s to £5 12s 6d. Sheep generally were easier, although a pen of extra prime hoggets made £2 7s. good to 335, small from 255; fat ewes, up to :'.ss. Dairy cattle close to profit sold freely, up to £24 10s for best, cows, others £l2 to £ls, heifers to £22 for best. £l2 10s to £ls 10s for second Quality. Bacon pigs made to £6 10s, porkers £4 7s GO to £5 ss, weaners :iis to £2; freshdropped calves Gs to 12s.
