Curpenticr indignantly denies the insinuation, and asks for a square deal. He pledges his honour as a soldier of France that, he fought to the best of his ability. Levinsky has also made a statement, denying that lie laid flown. He said Uiai he never recovered from a blow in Ihc second round. The New Jersey Boxing Commission believes that the fight, was a fair one. but is desirous of fixing the authors of the insinuations ;m opportunity to submit evidence If they have any. The New York Boxing Commission has granted Carpentier a license to box in this slate.
