FATAL MOTOR COLLISION

ONE MAN KILLED. ANOTHER IN CRITICAL CONDITION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALM ERST OX N., Friday. A motor car, driven by Mr Warren Newth, a taxi driver, when coining from the Wanganui races, crashed into a car driven by Mr A. E. Eglinton, a Sandon settler. Both vehicles were overturned and wrecked. Eglinton, wiio sust.vncd injuries to his head, died shortly afterwards and E. A. Penny, who was sitting' immediately behind Eglinton, •had his skull fractured and his leg broken, and is not expected to survive. .None of the other passengers were seriously injured.
