A mecling of the Women’s Citizens Association resolved "That this representative mceliny, of various women’s associations of Dunedin pledge themselves lo retrain from purchasing any goods (with Ihr exception of absolute necessities) for six months, or until such lime as I lie present prices come down or I tie supply is more equal to (he demand, 'and that we urge all women lo combine wilh us to this end. It was also decided to hold a mass meeting for women only and ask pcimission to use the main street lor a one-day campaign for securing signatures lo refrain from buying. A resolution is also to he forwarded lo tile Government asking for assistance lo control the price of local industries.
