RESTRICTION OF TERRITORY. ARMY REDUCED TO 50,000. CUSTODY OF HOLY PLACES. ; (Router's Telegrams.) Received May 11, 5.25 p.m. PARIS, May 10. Le Journal says thai the Turkish Treaty provides, apart from the decl- [ sions already announced, for the iv--1 slriclion of Turkish territory in Europe . lo the extreme point of tiie peninsula on which Constantinople is situated, that the remainder of European Turkey, including Gallipoli, he handed over to ih* Greeks and Armenians comprising .the provinces of Van, Moukh and Bitlls, , and part of the province of Erzeitim granted complete independence with a sea outlet at Batoum, which will be internationalised. The Turks will be allowed an army of 50,000. In regardto spheres of influence France secures Cillcia and Italy the vilayets of Konia and Adalia and a large part of the coalfields of Heraklea. The custody of the Holy places will be entrusted to a British commission under the League . of Nations. The League will also protect minorities.
