Major Blake, aeronautical correspondent of the Sunday Times contrasts the immense public excitement regarding the Irans-Atlantic aerial flight with the indifference regarding the much more important flight to Australia. The former was a stunt more or less useless except as an advertisement, while the Australian flight has a direct bearing on the important question of commercial aviation. "Major Blake states that Captain Ross-Smith will probably win the prize, and adds: "The farseeing Chinese Government has already purchased 100 similar aeroplanes for external and internal communications." POULET MEETS WITH MISHAP. (Reuter.) RANGOON, December 3. Lieut. Poulet arranged to start today but three tyres burst as his machine was moving. He will try to leave to-morrow. A CRUISER ON PATROL.
