ARMY CLASS DISTINCTION
ARMY OFFICERS AND MEN. LESSEN THE GAP. ATTACK BY MR WATTS. An attack on the perpetuation of class distinction between officers and men was mad,: by Mr P. H. Watts, Liberal Candidate for Waikato, before ; i crowded meeting a! the King's Theatre, Hamilton, last nigh!. Mr Walls: 1 am not complaining that the New Zealand division was treated badly, or that it was not well fed under the circumstances, or that we hail to put up with the same hard,' conditions the Tommies had to: hut the great difference in the conditions of the men as compared with those of the officers and the wide class distinction should be done away with, or the country will not get the response when the next war comes upon us as : t did for the present war. ("Hear, hear," and applause).
