TRIPOLI OCCUPIED UNOPPOSED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 22, 8.25 p.m. CAIRO, October 21. .Mi' W. T. Massey, writing from Tripoli im Friday, says that armoured card and British Yeomanry occupied that town on the 13th, unopposed, the Turks having previously evacuated it. At the time of writing some British and Indian infantry forces had arrived. The troops were everywhere splendidly received by the population, who were overjoyed that the British had delivered them from the Turkish yoke. The Yeomanry and Indian cavalry entered Horns on the 15th, the Australian Flying Corps having bombed the Turks, who lied after burning the railway building. Their retreat was hastened by further bombing.
