At Roberts Heights cantonments there are 1800 ci'ses, but the value of discipline and strict organisation is demonstrated by tho low death rate compared with the civilians. A Johannesburg message states that during the Inst 12 days 1000 deaths occurred .of whom 400 were whites. Th;> Blocmfontcin death* roil is over 1000, of whom whereof 100 were whites. The epidemic is making strides in the native territories, where the mortality is said to be serious.
