FOOTBALL
HAMILTON EUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Management Committee was held on Wednesday, Mr C. Speight presiding. There were also present Messrs Molesworth, Bennett and Johnston (City), Mclvinnon (Prankton), Qualtrough (High School), Tooman (Public Schools), and Brown (secretary). The Grammar Old Boys wrote accepting an invitation for a representative match, but could not fix a definite date. A request from Taumarunui for a representative match was held over.
It was decided to plav an A and B junior match on July 27. t 'Mr L. Brown was appointed manager of the Te Aroha visit.
The Auckland Rngby Union stated they ha<l donated £2 from a grant they had received from the New Zealand Bugbv Union for the public schools. On the motion of the chairman it wa;; decided to subsidise the amount to £3 and to pay it forthwith. The Te Kuiti football club wrote stating that they would play the junior representatives 011 August 3. Accepted.
It was decided to play the open match, St. Mary's v. Franktou ou Julv 27.
The City Club was «le-*lnretl winners of the Sage Memorial Cup. A High School player was regrade'l to the juniors. It was decided to request the Public Schools Union to play East v. Franktou at Steele Park at ij p.m. ou Saturday.
