Thompson, formed the largest portion of the internal decorations at Saturday's Allied Fete. * • * • • The Frankton Stall, held by the Frankton Patriotic League and located at Ward street, last Saturday realised £45. This amount will be held by the Frankton branch for their own requirements. • • • t •

The two lambs won last Saturday by Miss Mary Douglas and Mr Speight were very kindly handed back to the Red Cross, and were both sold and the proceeds placed to the funds of the League. • • • < i

There were so many donations and kindly services rendered to the Red Cross during the fete time that it has been quite impossible for the League to acknowledge them all, although it is grateful to each contributor. However, the arranging for an orchestra by Mr S. Riley, who has been confined to his room for some time, is one of those thoughtful actions that it is impossible to overlook. Notwithstanding his illhealth Mr Riley not only arranged for the players, but also lent the piano. The music items supplied, under the leadership of Mr Scott, was highly appreciated by those visiting the T.M.S. and Marble Bar last Saturday afternoon.
