TO GO INTO CAMP IN JANUARY. (By Telegraph— .Press Association). WELLING TON, Sa turdav. Hon. Jas. ALen, Minister for 'Defence, stated to-day that arrangements had been made tor the 24th reinforcements to go into camp in the first week in January instead ot before Christmas. This was in order to allow sufficient time for the medkal exemption of the men, and the work_of the military service boards; also in order to give the training staffs at the camps a well-earned rest. DRAWN BY BALLOT. , MEpiCAL BOARD'S SITTINGS. # The Medical Board, which has been appo.nted undir the terms of the Military Service Act to deal-with recruits in the Auckland province upon whom the lot of the ballot has fallen, will open its sittings on Monday morning in Hamilton. The Board has some 2GO recruits to deal with from No. 4 group, and will be occupied over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The first batch of 100 mm have been notified to parade at 8.30 on Monday at the Defence office in Knox srteet.
