FOR POST WAR TRADE. BRITISH PREPARATIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, September 22. The Hoard of Trade Committee which investigated the question of financial facilities for trade recommends the establishment of a chartered British trade bank with a capital of £10,000,000. The bank will not interfere with existing hanks or financial instiutions, Inn fill a gap between the Home banks and the colonial and British foreign banks. The new institution must be equipped with an up-to-date information bureau to ascertain now business openings, etc. There are strong reasons for the immediate formation in view of the certainty of the enemy's efforts to regain a position in the world's commerce and finance after the war. There is a possibility of unemployment being rife in Britain un. less new markets are exploited: therefore, it is desirable to ascertain in advance the requirements of foreign countries, and the whereabouts of raw materials for use in our industries.
