DR. PURCHAS ELECTED PRESIDENT. NEXT SESSION TO BE HELD IN NEW ZEALAND. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received Sept. 25, 12.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 25. The Medical Congress has closed. Resolutions recommended by the ['afferent sections were adopted. On the motion of Dr. Valintine (New Zealand) it was decided that title next session of the congress be held at Auckland in 1914. Dr. Valintine extended a warm welcome to the delegates. Dootor Purchas was elected president until the next session. THOROUGH INSPECTION ADVOCATED. OMINOUSLY FREQUENT. (Received Sept. 125, 10.35 a.m.j SYDNEY, Sept,; 25. Thid section sittings of the Congress have concluded. Dr. Weihein in a paper emphasised the necessity for through medical inspection of as cases* of advanced consumption among immigrants were becoming ominously freqjuent.
