ANNUAL MEETING. Tie annual meeting of the above was helc in the library building on Saturday evinicj} last. The annual report was read as follows: '• Yotr committee are able again to place before subscribers a satisfactory report and balance sheet. Through circumstances not being favourable neither an Industrial Exhibition or library ball were held during the past two years, nevertheless, the finances of the institution are in a healthy state. The year 1905 started with a credit b*lano| of .£0 18s lid. The expenditure for that year amounted to ,£3B lGs *)<? leaving a credit balance of £ti Hi 7d to start the year IQJ6. At a subsequent meeting of the committee iilr J. P. Vause was unanimously re-ehoted chairman aDd treasurer. It was lesolved that regular meetings of the committee be held quarterly and speoial raeetnp to ba called by the Chairman when considered to be n'cei-sary.
