The Pacific Mail (.\>mj>:tnv"s liner City of Panama has been wrecked near Pescadero. on the coast of Lalifornia, south of San h rancisco. ami just north wards of the Great Ray ot Monterey. The City of Panama was a passenger steamer, ami at the time ot the casualtv had on board seven! \ passengers. Her crew numbered thirty, so that sbe carried in all one hundred lives. The tate of both passengers and crew is at preseu' unknown. Imt it is presumed that the)' may have lett the vessel in the boats in an attempt to reach the shore. So far. however, nothing has been heaul of them, and it is feared they have not been aide to weather the siorm and hijjrli sea that prevailed f<*r some time after the shipwreck. { Steamers have been despatched to the scene of the wreck in the hope that some, if not all. of the unfortunate people can be picked up. ALL REROUTED SAKE. NEW TORE. This day. Mexican advices report that all on board the Citv of Panama are safe.
