WEDDING BELLS.

HARDLEY-Q U ALTEOUGH. A very pretty wedding was oelebiated yesterday afternoon at the Methodiat Church, Hamilton. The contracting parties were Mr C. Hardley, of Messrs Hardley and Hard ley, Auckland, tor meily of Hamilton, and .Miss Amy Qualtrougb, of Hamilton. The ceremony wat fixed for 2.30 p.m., but long before that hour the prettily decorated church was filled with the friends and relatives of the bride and bridegroom. The fiev. Thomas Fee coniuoted the ceremony. The bride's wedding dress was a white duohesse silk, trimmed with lace and chiffon, and she wore a wreath of orange blossoms and the appropriate veil. The four little bridesmaids, Miss Ruby Qaaltrough, Miss Pearl Dowle, Miss Myrtle Hardley and Miss Doris Hardley, carried little shepherd's crooks, the two former being dressed in white silk and the two latter in cream silk. Miss Elsie Qaaltrough, the chief bridesmaid, wore a white silk dress and carried a shower bouquet. Mr S. Wilson acted as bat mm, uud luo bride was given away by father. The servioe was fully choral, as is appropriate where the bride was for so long a member of the choir. After the ceremony, the weeding party assembled at Mr Qualtrough's residence, where, on the slopes lacing the river, a large marquee hud been erected for holding the reception. Over one hundred friends sat down to the wedding breakfast, coming in some instances from as far south as Ashburton, Uhristohurch and Paluierston North. In the afternoon, the happy couple left for Auckland, en route to th-) North, where the honeymoon win be spent. The bride's travelling dres.was a very pretty grey costume with white silk facings and grey trimmings, and with hat to match. The presents, which numbered 130, inoluded the bridegroom's g.fi to the bride, a gold necklace with star pendent set in pearls, and his present to the chief briiesm iid, a gold neoklaca set with amethyst stones. Doris and Myrtle received gold cable bangles and huby and Pe.irl gold broochep set in pearls. Among the general preseats w u re half a dozju cheques and some really handsome pieces of furniture. In the evening a supper and entertainment were provided for the young people in the Methodist schoolroom, to which some eight) gathered.
