TE URUWHAO NEWS.
From Our Own Correspondent. A branch of the Piako Mounted Rifles has beeu formed at Te Uruwhao, and th' 1 first p trade took place on Monday afternoon under Lieutenant Tattersall. I understand almost all the young men in the settlement have joined. The leunis Club has fnished the court, and has made a very complete job of it. Practice is now in full swing. There was a small breakdown at the creamery which necessitated the suppliers taking their milk to the Waitoa creamery. it has now been repaired and work been resumed. I am sorry to learn that we are shortly to lose our Presbyterian Minister, Mr Burrow, who intends shortly to prooeed to Auslnlia for a csurse at a training college before taking up his new duties as amissionary. His services at Te Uruwhao have been very much appreciated, and he will carry with him the best wishes of those to whom he micisterud, A young son of Mr Kubtz, of Gordon r ad, was out riding last week, when bis hnrse fell and broke its leg. The burse had to be si ot. Fortunately the boy got off unhurt.
