ARCTIC EXPLORATION.
ANNEXATION OF ISLANDS. t OTTAWA, November 25. Captain Bernier, of the Dominion Government steamer Arctic has taken possession of eight islands for Canada discovered sixty-five miles off the new channel. He visited Melville Island, where he restored Franklin's monument.
