PATENT MEDICINES.
THE AUSTRALASIAN LEGISLATION'. ACTION BY PROPRIETORS. LONDON, November Forty leading proprietors and makers of proprietry articles and patent medicine, met the London Chamber of Commerce which resolved that the publication of trade secrets would render trade impossible in Australasia and asked Lord Elgin to receive a deputation in favour of amendments to the Commerce Act. Several speakers threatened to withdraw their advertisements in the event of the adoption j of legislation in Australasia re- j quiring the disclosure of formulae.
