THE CASH OF SIGNOR CARUSO. NEW YORK, November 22. The hearing of the Caruso case created an.immense sensation. Tiie arresting detective deposed that he saw Caruso follow and annoy two young girls and three women, including a negress. at the Zoological Gardens, before pinching the woman named Airs Graham. She turned swiftly and struck him, crying, •'You brute." She told the detective to arrest Caruso for insulting her. The detective stated that he had made every effort to find her since she had disappeared, but had failed.

Siguor Caruso denied the charge, but admitted that he exchanged glances with Airs Graham, who smiled at him first in a flirtatious way. The case was adjourned.
