SALVAGE OPERATIONS
PORT DARW IN, November 22. The salvage steamer has returned from the wreck of the Australia, and reports the position to be hopeless. The holds are full of water. The discharge ot cargo is proceeding, and when the bulk is discharged, it is proposed to attempt to lloat with the spring tide.
