A CHANGE OF BUSINESS.
BOOKMAKER AS AUCTIONEER,
SYDNEY, November 30
Mr Humphrey Oxenham, the wellknown bookmaker, has commenced business in Sydney as an auctioneer. At his opening sale lie disposed of the furniture of the defunct Carlton Club. He mentioned that owing to the operation of the Betting Act he would have in future a good deal of leisure time, and it had occurred to him that he might profitably emplov it as an auctioneer.
