THE EXHIBITION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.? CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Exhibition grounds are fresh and bright after yesterday's rain and there has been a fair attendance during the afternoon. In the visitors' book at the tourist court Dr. L. L. Smith has written " I have been president of many large exhibitions but have never seen one so early prepared and in such early order. Messrs Reece and Booth, the local Commissioners, had a long confer' euce with Mr Hall-Jones to-day. The Minister on being questioned : by a Press Association representative, said everything was satisfactory and that there was no trouble whatever. He would say nothing whatever. Mr Reece when interviewed said , that the Commissioners' recommen--1 dation would be fully considered, and that they had determined to continue in office. Their recommen» dations would be submitted directly to the Minister in charge of the Exhibition, who for the time being is . Mr Hall-Jones. > A large number of country schools, 1 ©eluding Sunday schools, within a convenient distance of Christchurch, j are making arrangements for a visit ; to the exhibition. School children" ' coming in a body are admitted at 3d per head for the day. Mr J, C. Adams, who has been appointed to organise the visits of schoels to the ' Exhibition, set out on his organising ' tour this week. , Mr Ayson, the fish expert, is i superintending the formation of a seal pond, which will be ready for seals and penguins on Friday next, i The interest taken in the aquarium has been almost phenomenal and the beautitully arranged room is anioug the most appreciated in the ExhibiI tion.
