NEWMARKET STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Waikato Times.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report the following prices at the Newmarket sale on Monday : —Ox beef to 245, cow 18s to 21s j fat steers, £6 10s to £l2 15s; cows, £4 lOi to £8; calves, 16a to 38s. Sheep—Fat wethers, 20s ts 22s fid j ewes, 18s 91 to 235; Bhurn wethers, ISs 61 to 23s 9d ; ewes, 15s 6d to 21s; lambs, 13s 6d to 19s 6d. Pigs.-Porkers, 17s fid to 395; weaners, 10s fid to lis 0d ; baconerß, 383 to (555. OHAUPO STOCK SALE. Messrs McNicol and Co. report as follows : —At Ohaupo yesterday we had a yarding of 593 head of cattle, and have to report one of the most successful sale* held for a considerable time, all ages of wellbred cattle participating in a sharp rise. About 2fi9 well-bred steers from 21 to 4-year-old were penned ; ail were in good condition, and met with a ready sale. Forward 21 to 4-year-old steers, £5 17s 6d to £6 lis; two pens close on beef, £7 3s and £7 15s; fresh steers, £4 7s to £b; yearling steers, 37s 6d to 45b; 18month steers, £2 14?; mixed yearling*, 30s to 40s; quiet 2-year-old empty heifeis, £3 Is ; forward empty cows, £3 103 to £3 14s ; fat cows, £5 15s ; springing heiferß, £4 10s to £5; 300 ewes (in wool) with lambs, 19s to 245. With the exception of one lot of 16 heifer calves every pen was sold under the hammer. SALE OF DAIRY COWS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited reports:—On Monday 12th November we held a sale of dairy cows at Tamahere, on account of Mr E. N. Beer. The continuous rain no doubt prevented some intending buyers from attending, but the cows such a really good lot, elicited brisk competition throughout, realizing from £6 15s to £10; good heifers either in milk or at pnfit, £6 to £7 10«; milk cans, 16s to £1 14s; young calves, 6s to 10s. AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES. ADELAIDE, November 13. At the wool sa'es 36,000 bales were catalogued, making a world's record for a single day. Competition wag very keen. Bradford and American buyers were present in full strength, but Continental were not muah in evidenoe. Nearly the whole quantity sold at good prices. Wools generally were a farthing up.
