THE MANUKAU SEAT.
MR LANG'S CANDIDATURE .ft (Bv Telegraph.—Special to Waikato Times.) AUCKLAND, this day. Mr Lang, the Opposition candidate for the Manukau seat opens his campaign to-night at Mangere, where he delivers an address after receiving -a requisition. He then addresses meetings nightly in other parts of the electorate. So far no strong Government candidate is announced and therefore Mr Lang is looked upon as a certainty for the seat. Messts Arthur Myers, Gerald Peacocke and D. Sutherland all disclaim any intention of standing for the seat., while Mr Wesley Spragg also denies that lie will be a candidate. The Government selection will probably be made'* from Messrs McCardle and Stem- r bridge.
