INQUEST.
An inquest was held at the Waikato Hospital yesterday afternoon before Mr J. S. bond, District Coroner, and a jury of six, of whom Mr E. Burgess was chosen foreman, touching the deatu of John Htu'y Henderson, whiou took place at the institution on Sunday evening, under circumstances already reportei. Constable Ryan c >nducted the inquiry, Djugiaa, Surgeon-Superint-indent of the Hospital, deposed to deceased being admitted at 7.3U on Sunday evening. He was sent in by Dr. Going. lie was in an uncjnscious state, aud vomited frequ.utly shortly after admission. He was put to bed and efforts were made to restore but they were of no avail, and he died at 9 15 , p.m. Deceased's wife came up about half an hour after admission and informed witness that deceased had he n very well •all day, and had been out driving. She said be had hid a glass of when he returned to the hotel, but she did not know that he had any other stimulant. He had just Bat down to tea apparently in his usual health, when he suddenly seemed to lose consciousness and all power on the j right ude. They took him outside aud he : temporarily recovered c u:ciousness. Witness bad that day made a post imrtem examination. He found no signs of violence. 'l'he heart was seriously diseased, and both kidneys were also diseased, l'here was evidence ot former disease in the right lung, lu his opinion death was due to heait disease. This was all the evidence, and the jury found that death was due to heart disease.
