At ten minutes pist one on Fiiday morning the inhabitants of Hamilton were alarmed by the ringing of the firebell and on turning out found that an old building opposite Messrs Parr Bros., at the junction of Yiotoria and Granthamstreets, was burning. Before the Fire Brigade oould get their reel on the spot the next building had caught, and the two were quickly demolished. The buildings it is understood, were insured.
