CONCE&r IN THE TOWN HALL. Tne varied attractions of the show week groatly affected the attendance at the Town tlall on thursday evening, when thd Auckland Unique Kniertainera gave their first oonoert in Hamilton by arrangement with the A. and P, Association. If licking in numbers, however, the audienoe made up in enthusiasm, and greeted almost every item with unstinted applause. The male quartette made a delightful combination, tueir voices blending most effectively in the quartets and medleys sung " lhe Farmyard Medley," "Lucky Jim," "Tue Jolly Blacksmith, " a Coon medley, " Tue Corn fields Medley " and "Mo mlight on the Lake " were all greatly eejjyed. Mr and Mrs Rowe gave an instrumental duet on the mandoline and zither, which led to a demand for an encore, responded to with a " Bon Bolt fantasia, Mr John W. Ryan has a rubust bass voice and sang "Long ago iu Aioila, " iullowod by " Vcu'd belter ask me." Miss Edna M. Gdiinghatn, a joung sjpian >, gave a "Song of Hope," but bettered lierself in " The Land O' the Leal " which was vigorously ensored and responded to with a swing song. Mr Allau MoLlwain is a born storyteller, and his imitations of various animals and sounds ware rea istic and clever. The lover with a edd was very funny, too. Mrs Abel Rowo p issesses a tine contralto voice and sang " Home Love " beautifully ; resp inding to the inevitable encore with "A Saepherd's Cradle bong." Another item contributed by Mr aud Mrs Howe was in operatic scene tioin " Tne Lady Typist" which introduced a graceful dance anu duet. Mr George Bagnall has a clear baritone voice of good range, and sang well in "When bright eyes glatoj." Finally Mr Abel Rowe, who, as director, thanked the aui ence for their attendance, aaug " Under the Rose " " To my first love" and as aa encore " The Cirnival." He possesses a t.*nor voiCi of great power, which at times siemed almost greater than the capacity of the hall. In its more restrained ell■ cts it aould not have been improved upon. "A m st eujojabie evening" was the verdict of everybody who was present. '1 he Uuique Entertainers gave another performance in the Town Hall last night, when there was a fair audience. The company had an et;Uiuß : astio reception, every item being encored. An admirable programme was presented.
