FIRE IN THE AIR.
SYDNEY, November 8. An extraordinary occurrence happened at Kogarah to a telephone line repairer, named Wilson. He was working at the top of the pole amidst the network ot wires outside the post otlice, when by some means, a can of paratliu which he was using, barstinto dames and enveloped him. He became eutaugled with wire aud was hung up by the feet three minutes, tQen fell through the network and miraculously catching hffd of the bottom wire and then by holding on to the ladder hoisted, he got half way down, then fell heavily. His clothes were burnt off and not a vestige of hair remains on his body. He is still alive in the hospital. The tire destroyed the pole aud disorganised the telephone service.
