A GREAT STORM.

GREAT DAMAGE IN THE RIVIERA. PARIS, November 2. A terrific storm at the Riviera, Promades. Nice and Cannes, destroyed ill' James Gordon Bennett's yacht Lyistrate and wrecked Cannes. Shipping at Toulon suffered great ly. The battleship Patre and the frigate Lagaerriere broke adrift and were secured with great difficulty. The coast was strewn with wreckage. A tidal wave caused great damage at the Hyeres Islands.

GREAT DAMAGE TO SHIPPING. FEW CASUALTIES. PARIS, November 3. The storm wrecked nineteen miles of promenades along the Riviera coast, doiug a million pounds' damages. At the height of the storm a number of submarines dived, and remained safely below till the worst was over. Four hundred fishing vessels were lost, though there were few casualties.
