HAMILTON CRICKET ASSOCIATION.

The annual meetiug of the Hamilton Cricket Association was held in the Hainilton West scQOulrooin las; evening, Mr :S. Reid (iuhikaraniaa) in the chair. I'he secretary's report congratulated the ciub on a successful season. To ensure greater public interest, the pitch at Frauktou should be used in preference to tint at .Steele Park. Tubikaramea won the championship with six wins and one draw, out of eight m itches played. After k dealing with the re-ults of outside matches, the report suggested that a combined team, as in football, might be organised to play Auckland and other Associations. The thanks of tho local Association were due to Mr Howden tor presenting a bandsume silver challenge cup for competition; to Dr. Douglas and Messrs Anderson and Dunstan, bats; Mr H. Power, a bill ai.4 Mr A. J. Shepherd, a set of club colours. .Mr T. Jack (Hamilton) won the bowling pr.ze and Mr A. J. Shepherd (Hamilton) the batting. Eifarts should be made to revive the Hamilton East team, also to encourage boys to play. The year would be started with practically a clean sheet and a few assets. The Press deierved hearty thanks for the generous space devoted to the game, The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr H. J. Greonalade, M.U.K. j president, Mr F. W. Lang; vicepresident?, Dr. Douglas and Mr J. 8, Bond; secretary, Mr Turbott; treasurer, UrPomeroy; committee, the offiueta and two delegates from each club.
