(By Telegraph.— Special to Waikato Times). WELLINGTON, This Day. A curious characteristic of the disease of anthrax was referred to by Dr. Mason in a lecture l»st evening, and illustrated with anecedotes. Three men walking together in the Waikato saw a bullock running at a fence. When they got up to the animal it was dead. They skinned it and took a portion of the meat home with them. It was subsequently fo ind that the bullock was suffering from anthrax; the people who ate this meat did not die, but of the men who skinned the bullock one died and the other very nearly 'Med.
