TEACHERS' DWELLINGS. (By lelegraph.— Special to Waikato Times.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the House this afternoon, Mr Greenslute gave notice of his intention to ask the Minister of Education whether tho Education Department will cjnsider the desirability of placing a sum on the Estimates this session to provide teachers' dwellings with the ordinary conveniences of life, as in the residences of many teachers in the Auckland Educational District, the kitchen has also to do duty as a dining room and as a wash-house, while in very few dwellings are provided those conveniences, which are now to be found in every modern house, and the Government is placing them in its workmen's cottages. THE LANDS COMMITTEE. The names of Messrs Ell, Greenslade Lawry, Mills, and Kirkbride were this afternoon adued to the Lands Committee, which hus been increased from ten to fifteen.
