A RAGLAN ROAD.

(By Telegraph.— Special to Waikato Times). WELLINGTON. This Day. Mr Greenslade has presented a largely signel petition to the Minister for Public Works from rat' piyers residing within the Opotoru bridge arm at Raglan, pointing out that no provision has beeu made for the construction of the road originally surveyed Hud graded by Mr Vickermun, Government surveyor, 'o connect the Wainui road with ; i:u Opotoru bridge via the RaglanKuapuke road, and that until it is com ploted the Wainui and coastal portions of the bridge area (wherein most of the settlement at present exists, including several Government tenant") will be absolute'y isolated from the bridge. Mr Greenslade urged that provision for the construction of the road should bo made on the Estimates. The Hon. Hall-Jones promised to look into the matter and see what could be done.
