(By Telegraph.— Special to Waikato Times).
WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Marine last niijht informed Air Greenslade that, after Ist proximo, the Kawhia County Council will be empowered to exercise the powers of a harbour board in Kawhia Harbour, and steps are now being taken to vest the wharf in the board.
Mr Ell's Totalisator Abolition Bill was debated at great length last night and thrown out.
