CAMBRIDGE WEST AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB'S METING.
Thk abo\e club held its second meeting yesterday at Trecarne, Cambridge West, in a paddock kindly lent by Mr Richard Reynolds. Theie was a very good attendance, considering the fact that the weather in the early part of the day was not at all propitious. Had old Sol shone out during the morning, we believe some hundreds more would have been present. Everything passed off imst successfully, the great events being the 'cycle races, in both of which the champion, E. Reynolds, was successful. He cut down his men and won with a bit in hand. He gave an exhibition spurt of a quarter of a mile, which he did in -JOsecs, The officers all acquitted themselves well, and the events were got off well to time, The Cambridge Band enlivened the proceedings, and added much to the enjoyment of the spectators.
