MANGAPIKO HOUSEHOLDERS' MEETING.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—T would like to know if the individual who wrote the fake insinuating and misleading report of the meeting of tho Manpiko householders is the same who wroto a malicious lie to the Board of Education in a letter dated October 9th, 181)2, trying undoubtedly to injure the character of tho Chairman of the Mangapiku School Committee, For tho sake of trying to keep peace the letter was never contradicted, Anybody cm see by the report in The Waikato Times of Thursday, May 4th, that the writer is trying to injure tho late chairman, but his present nasty, insinuations have no more effect now, than in tho past, and 1 may say, that in spite of all tho insinuations and perpetual strife_ misin» qualities of a neighbour (which I think is the same who wrote tho report of the above meeting), I havo tho good will and wishes of every respectable settler in Mangapiko, I have been chairman of tho Mangapiko School Committee for about six years, and during that tiiuo I havo had the goud will of every respectable member of the committees, and also uf the teachers and Hoard of Education. I hope the writer of tho report referred to will leave olf his absurd strife and act in tho same straightforward manner as the late chairman has done, and ho will then havo tho good will and wishes of his neighbours that he seems so jealous of other people having, Part of the above letter, dated October 'Jth, was signed John Hughes, but not tho part referred to. Not being ashamed of my name.—l am, &.Q., T. K. Davidson. May Slli,lSll3.
