Tin-; Clansman was in dock yesterday and received sonic shipping repairs, which were executed by members of the Ship-Wrights' Union, the boycott being now removed. It is stated that the Union Company is preparing a timetable for October, embracing weekly services for East and West Coasts (with cargo boats to till up gaps), and a fortnightly intercolonial service. The cutter Tarawcra has been despatched to "Whangarui with CO tons oals. the Union Company having undertaken to supply the. contractors who are carting out 1000 tons of coal from Hikurangi coalfield to Karao railway station, with oats for their horses at cost price. Last Night. There is no change in strike matters. The Auckland Employers' Association have resolved not to participate in the Wellington conference, unless a guarantee is given that free labour be admitted on terms of perfect equality with unionists. Kawa kawa, Thursday. Kawakawa has been just covered with pQsters announcing that unless the coal company's employes return to their work within 21 hours' the directors will take the necessary steps for the immediate working of I ho mine.

The Employer's Association, of Southland, have declined to take part in the labour conference. Mr Martin Kennedy i.s communicating with the Grey Vallev Coal Company directors, to ascertain if they will be represented. It is understood that the Wellington Employers' Association have also decided to take no action in the matter. Messrs Loams and Ancell, mining delegates from the West Coast will attend. The Government will probably ask tli<! Employers' Associations to reconsider their decisions. The Ilauroto arrived from Newcastle at 1(1.1.) this morning, with 580 tons of coal, that being all she could gel. It is estimated thai 000 men arc on strike in Wellington. The Herald loaded to-day and sailed for Lyttelton. More free labour is ottering than is required. The Ohau loaded 800 tons of coal in 19 hours, and was taken to the graving dock. The Ranee is being worked by tile Union lumpers.
