SATURDAY, JULY 5, 1890.

Kqual and cxact jushco lo all men, Of whatsoever state or persuasion, religious or political.

" Harapipi's" reply to " Rank and File," which has been crowded out for some days past, appears in this week's supplement. We have been compelled to hold over our report of the installation ceremony in connection with the Masonic Lodge lieta, till next issue. We have been compelled to hold over our loader, letter from "T.M.." our Wailetuua correspondent's letter, report of Te Awamutu concert, and other matter. The Wakatipu, which arrived at Wellington at midnight on Thursday, from Sydney, was three days over due, having encountered vniy severe weather on the passage. A.t the meeting of the Hamilton branch of the Waikato Farmers' Club, to be held to-day in Tun Waikato Times Buildings, Mr B. P. Bayley will read his promised paper on "The Frozen Meat Question." Mr Henry Reynolds, of the firm of Reynolds and Co., leaves for England by the steamer lonic, on the 2 Ph. The object of Mr Reynolds' visit, as mentioned in a previous issue, is to obtain information with regard to the dairy prndnco trade in Eng- '« id and on the Continent. W. Donnelly was charged at the R.M. Court, Uunedin, on Thursday last, with having an unlicensed still in his possession. The accused, when arrested, stated that he knew nothing of the affair, and had been engaged by a man to remove furniture, and then to look after the fire when the man went out. Francis Crawford, charged with incendiaiism of a house belonging to Mr (•naltrough, at Frankton, was brought up before Capt. Jackson, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Hamilton, on Thursday. Mr Hay defended tho accused. After hearing a considerable amount of evidence, entirely circumstantial, the Resident Magistrate, not deeming the evidence sufficient to convict the accused, dismissed the case. In a paragraph in last issue referring to Messrs Yates and Co., seedsmen, we stated that Messrs Knox and Ridler were their Waikato agents. Our attention has been drawn to tins, as it might be read to imply that they were tho only agents in Waikato for these seeds, we find Mr E. T. Davey is also an agent, wdiich fact he notifies in our advertising columns. The long-talked-of football match between Paterangi and Huntly takes place on Sydney Square, Hamilton, this afternoon. The game commences at 2.30 p.m. sharp, so as to be finished before dark. The names of the teams liavo already been published. Paterangi, as usual, are confident of winning, but the feeling in football circles is that Huntly will come off victorious ; in any case, however, a good game may be looked for. If Paterangi wins this match, Hamilton will most likely repeat their last year's performance, as the last time the lattor met and tied Paterangi, only a second team was put in the field. Cambridge has been en fete this week and the inhabitants must bo full to repletion of entertainments, for in addition to special services held at the Presbyterriu and Wesleyan Churches last Sunday, the following meetings have taken place: Farmers' Cub and Hand of Hope meetings on Monday ; Presbyterian Sunday .school concert on Tuesday , St. Andrew's Church social on Wednesday ; Wesleyan entertainment, Oddv.lluws' dinner and ball on Thursday, and to finish the week the Domain Hoard meet this afternoon.
