( OWN CORRESPONDENT.) TAURANGA, Yesterday.

THK PCBLIf'AN'S' ROW AT OUINEMtfTU. — A MAGISTRATE CHALLENGED. The violent ejection case before the Ohinemutu Hotel came on yesterday before Herbert W. "Brabant, Esq., R.M., and Robert Graham, Esq,, J.P. Five natives appeared upon the information of Inspector Emerson. The counsel objected to Mr Graham sitting on the Bench, as being implicated. Mr Graham declined leaving the Bench. Ultimately he said, as he saw no chance of the natives getting justice, he would procure a Parliamentary inquiry. Upon the application of the natives, the magistrate adjourned the case to March 5, at Tauranga, adding that he did not think he could sit with Mr Graham, who might be implicated, but with an impartial justice, at Tauranga.
