AUCKLAND, Last Night.

ALLEGED CRUELTY BY A SCHOOLMASTER. William H. Bhutan was summoned to answer 1 a charge of severely beating Edward Golding at the Newton School on the 17th inst. Mr Hesketh appeared for defendant and pleaded not guilty. Mr Armstrong, for the complainant, explained the nature of the case. The Bench, after hearing the evidence, dismissed the case.
