Carey bv the Key A. D. Kmnnnont; a. C. Gould, G, W. Moßae,'E»q., as a imall token of their grateful appreciation of hia noble conduct in rescuing the passengers and crew of the s.s. Bnngitoto, on the 30th July, 1873." Fifty pounds, presented by Mr Jilnoltwood, have bc-n distributed ampngthe crew. Another motion was—" That the rates per-renUra under the proposed ad valorem tariff be fixed at a uniform rate, A great disturbance occurred yesterday, arising out of the sale of the Masonic Hall. Hudson, the proprietor, put a number of men in possession. A crowd of ihareholdew and others, armed with bludgeons and crowbars, forced an entrance through the dooraand windows. A struggle ensued when Hudson's men succeeded in forcibly ejecting the intruders. Tho police had to interfere to stop the row
