. ,—, — 1 Board Education. ! FOUR SCHOLARS fIIPS at the Auckland College and Giummar School will be competed for at uckland in December i.ext. Each Scholarship will be tenable for two years and will entitle its holder to an allowance at the rate of £30 a-ycar, nnd to free tuition at the Grammar School. The competition for three of the Scholarships will bo confined to the pupils of tlie District or Common Schools of the province. The competition for the remaining one will be open to all corners, subject to certain conditions. Tho mimes of those who intend to compete must be sent 111 to the Secretary not later than Ist November next. Candidates must not be less than 12 years at that date, nor more than 16.
