FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS at the Auckland College and fc Grammar School w ill be competed for at Auckland in December next. E ich Scholarship will be tenable for two years and will entitle its holder to an allow ance at the rate of £30 a-jear, and to free tuition at the Grammar School. Tho competition for three of the Scholarships will be confined to the pupils of the District or Common Schools of the province. The competition lor the remaining one will be open to all comers, subject to certain conditions. The name* of those who intend to compete must be sent in to the Secretary not later than lst November next Caudulato* must not be less than 12 years at that date, nor more than 16.
