We call the attention of the members of the Road Boards whose duty it is to keep the bridges in order between Hamilton and Ohaupo, to the disgraceful and dangerous state two of these are in. In the case of one, before a vehicle can be driven across it is necessary to collect the hand-rails, which are rotted off, and lay them across the timbers, a good deal of the original planking having disappeared. Accidents have already occurred, and unless something is Bpecdily done to remedy the above disgraceful state of aiiairs, it will become our duty as it will that of everybody resident in the district, to represent the matter to the Superintendent, in order that he may instruct the provincial engineer to have the repairs made, and the cost deducted from the Road Board grants. We are informed that the reason nothing has been done with these bridges is because in one case the duty devolves upon three Boards, in the other on two. It will bo seen that Mr Hayman is in the district. He has a splendid assortment of cigars, tobacco, jewellery, and fancy goods. He will visit all the principal townsnips in the district. His assortment of goods is well worth inspection if only lo gratify the sight, —Advertisement. We have received a letter from a correspondent asking us what the committee is doing that was appointed to carry out the arrangement for the sports at Ngaruawahia, on Boxingday. The question is one that we were about to ask ourselves, but we remembered that more than one of the committee are absent from home. We hope, however, to hear from them soon as there is no time to be lost.
