(From the Daily Southern Ckoss.) LATEST SOUTHERN NEWS. Dunedin, Wednesday. Mr Macandrew is here with a view ol arranging a new Provincial Executive without Mr Reid. Mr Tollilie has resigned the office of Deputy-Superinten-dent, and has asked some members of the present Executive to join with himself as head, and construct a new Executive. Mr George Turnbull has been appointed Deputy-Superintendent. The attempt to re-construct is not likely to succeed, and Mr Macaudrew will probably return to Wellington to-morrow, without taking the extreme course of dismissing Mr Reid. Captain Harding has written a letter to the Dunedin Star reiterating the assertion that the report of the debate in the Senate, published some time ago, was a hushed-up story sent by Nedson, who is Mr Webb's personal enemy through having been dismissed. Captain Harding also states that Mr. Webb is determined to carry the contract through. Thursday.

Both gentlemen replied that they could not comply with the request, as they looked upon the late change of Ministry as a calamity to the colony, but added that they would not support any Ministry not favourable to the unity of the colony.
