Constable McGovern, sworn—Between three and four o'clock yesterday afternoon some boys came to me and said Young is killing his wife, and smashing all the things in the house ; I immediately went to Mrs May's house and found Mrs Young there ; she was in a very exci ed andalarmed state ; Airs May informed me that Young had threatened to kill Ins wife, and that she was afraid he would return there again; id is Young also informed me that her husband had kicked her at Bauer's house, and also struck her ; 1 then went to Young's [)lace and found voang in company with Bauer, standing outside the house.; the. window and door were-broken; 1 saw Young was very much excited-with drink; 1 apprehended him with the assistance of. another Consi-able, as he resisted all iu his power.
