LATER DIRECT CABLE MESSAGE.

London, June 22> Received announcement of the commencement of June wool sales with 200,000 bales for 4,000, which have been offered, mostly Sydney. So far slight decline in prices. Private telegram—dated June 22nd—mentions a fall of one penny in wool, but market then firm. The " Times," in reviewing correspondence with Australian Governors on the Intercolonial question, reciprocates, and remarks that if the Colonial Legislature, after mature deliberation, should petition the Home Government for repeal of the law against differential duties, concession must ultimately be made; but if the power so acquired be used in a proteciional sense, as distinct from simple customs, the union will seriously lessen, the bonds attaching them to Great Britian. • Tariff correspondence has been refused. The proposed New Zealand and Tasmanian Loans have been placed on the market.
