The jury returned a verdict of accidental death. Wellington, Bth May. *' The working plans of the Auckland and Mercer Ilailway have been handed to Brogden. The Government intend to despatch the w Albion " with the outward mails. She will leave in time to catch the Suez Mail, wh'ch leaves Melbourne on the 26th inst. The " City of Melbourne," on her arrival in Auckland, will bo despatched to Honolulu. There is great excitement in town about the Waikato Goldfiolds. A number of natives are on their way to the Native Meeting. »
